The Origins

born of a belief

BarrKitchens was set up by Founder and Director Stuart Barr, in response to the limited design flexibility offered by other kitchen companies. Architects and designers were requesting interpretations of their individual kitchen designs and clients were seeking a company who could build to their specific space (including sloping ceilings and wonky walls!). Trained in precision cabinetry, at the prestigious Rycotewood College, Stuart was passionate about the quality of workmanship and ‘doing things differently’. These same values underpin the BarrKitchens offering today.

The Ethos

grown with passion

BarrKitchens work with passion and without constraints. Every kitchen is designed from scratch to the visual and functional desires of the client and to the structural and architectural demands of the space. The team believes that, whether contemporary or traditional, each BarrKitchen is unique, projects linked simply linked by excellence in design and quality of workmanship. Whether working directly with the client or in conjunction with an interior designer or architect, each commission remains completely individual.

The Approach

offered with excellence

A complete project managed service means that the design, sourcing, manufacture, fit and finish of your kitchen is in safe hands, from start to perfect finish. The whole BarrKitchens team work to exacting standards. From initial sketches to fully rendered 3D forms you will be able to visualise your kitchen before it is built, allowing BarrKitchens designers to hone down, both aesthetically and functionally, to the last perfect drawer handle and fixing.

COMMUNITY

giving back

As part of the Barr Group, the BarrKitchens team have been privileged to be involved with multiple charity organisations over the years, engaging in meaningful and rewarding community projects. Most recently a Barr Group team worked with the young persons division of RAW-workshop, to build a counselling work-space. In addition, the Barr Group work with local schools to raise awareness of opportunities in the fields of design and cabinet making, skills which can lead to a wealth of opportunities in the workplace.
